Introducing yourself

Let me tell you a little about myself.

I was born and raised in Tehran and I’m a native of this city. I grew up there with my parents and my two brothers and three sisters. I’m the sixth child so you could say I’m the baby of the family, and apparently as they say I was very spoiled.

That’s right, I’m part of a big family, and I’m thankful for it. Since you get all the attention in the world from your parents and probably your siblings, being the last born is quite awesome.

I had a happy childhood, for the most part. My father and mother didn’t have a lot of money, but because they both worked hard, we never felt deprived.

I wasn’t much interested in sports, like my brothers were. I enjoyed reading and listening to music while growing up. At the age of 14 I got madly interested in English and I started taking English lessons. So, my English journey started when I was 14. I went to grade school near my house, and then since we moved to a small town, I had to go to a high school which was a little far from where I lived.

After graduating from high school, I went on to the University of Tehran for my bachelor’s degree. Soon I learned the ropes at the university, and I could graduate after 4 years.

I then went to Tabriz for a couple of years to teach English and to study English literature to get my master’s degree. After teaching young adults for a few years, I was offered a job in Tehran, so I moved back to Tehran in 2014. After working here for a few years, I decided to teach online and for that I created my own website.

I am happily married, and I still enjoy reading and listening to music, and of course, creating Englishvoice.ir lessons.
